Since their earliest days in the league, the Sacramento Kings have displayed a fondness for ineptitude that is both laughable and galling. Until recently, it seemed like every year they found new ways to lose. But there is one record that may be more disgraceful than all the rest.
On November 20, 1990, the Kings withstood Bernard King's 45 points and beat his Washington Bullets 87-82. It would be their last win on the road for more than a year. One day later, they lost in Philadelphia 101-99 and began the longest road losing streak in NBA history: 43 games. Their streak would end on November 23, 1991 with a 95-93 win in Orlando.
